This landscape design project by TIUGA STUDIO exemplifies the seamless integration of natural beauty with contemporary architectural sophistication. Situated on the edge of a tranquil lake, with a dense woodland serving as its backdrop, the design responds thoughtfully to the unique environmental context, balancing the serene qualities of the site with a modern aesthetic. TIUGA STUDIO has created a harmonious relationship between the built environment and the natural landscape, fostering both visual appeal and functional use.

At the heart of the project is a meticulously designed pool, whose clean, geometric lines resonate with the sharp, modern architecture of the residence. The pool’s crisp structure contrasts with the organic fluidity of the surrounding landscape, creating a dynamic interplay between architecture and nature. The pool area is bordered by sleek stone walkways and further complemented by tropical plantings in sculptural pots, adding an exotic touch to the refined design.

Soft lawns envelop the pool, interspersed with thoughtfully placed stepping stones that guide visitors through the garden’s various zones. These paths lead to carefully designed relaxation areas, including seating and lounging spaces that prioritize both usability and aesthetic enjoyment. Mature trees are retained as integral design elements, reinforcing the connection with the surrounding forest while providing shade and defining the garden’s open spaces.

The lakeside setting is maximized through the inclusion of private docks that offer direct access to the water. This feature enhances the project’s sense of exclusivity and provides an immersive retreat experience. The juxtaposition of structured elements in the garden with the fluid, open waters of the lake creates a sensory richness that deepens the overall design narrative.

The plant selection throughout the project reflects TIUGA STUDIO’s deliberate approach to balancing soft and hard elements. The use of exotic flora adds texture and visual interest, while the minimalist hardscaping maintains the clean, contemporary aesthetic. Additionally, strategically placed landscape lighting enhances the garden’s atmosphere at night, extending its use and creating an inviting, illuminated retreat after sunset.
