Tiuga Studio is honored to unveil the interior design of Atelier 1772's latest ceramic store, strategically located at Strada Alba Iulia No. 2, in the heart of Timisoara’s historic district. This project marks our second collaboration with Atelier 1772, following the success of their first store in Bușteni, Romania, for which we also had the privilege of crafting the brand identity. With this new store, we further solidify the Atelier 1772 aesthetic— a refined blend of heritage, artistry, and contemporary luxury.

Situated in one of Timisoara’s most iconic historical settings, Strada Alba Iulia is renowned as a vibrant pedestrian street, frequently visited for its architectural beauty and cultural significance. The street gained widespread attention for its installation of suspended colorful umbrellas, transforming it into one of the city’s most picturesque and photographed locations. Set within this dynamic commercial landscape, Atelier 1772’s new store seamlessly integrates into its surroundings, honoring tradition while embracing modernity.

The design concept takes inspiration from the rich historical fabric of Timisoara, while elevating the customer experience through a sophisticated material palette and a curated spatial layout. The interior reflects a dialogue between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary aesthetics, featuring carefully selected elements that enhance both functionality and ambiance. A key design feature is the incorporation of the iconic tapestry from our esteemed partners, House of VLAdiLA, from their "Love is" collection. This collection explores artistic irrationality, treating design as a love poem dedicated to beauty in all its forms. The tapestry’s intricate textures and symbolic motifs create a striking visual contrast against the polished brass fixtures, arched shelving, and bespoke display units that define the space.

The store’s layout is meticulously planned to enhance the customer’s journey, encouraging fluid exploration. Upon entering, visitors are welcomed into an open floor plan where custom-designed display units—crafted from locally sourced materials—showcase Atelier 1772’s exquisite hand-painted ceramics. These pieces are arranged gallery-style, ensuring that every item is perceived not just as a product but as a work of art. The ambient lighting design further accentuates the ceramic textures and finishes, fostering an inviting and intimate atmosphere.

Building upon the success of the Busteni location, this new store in Timisoara reinforces Atelier 1772’s brand identity, defined by a dedication to timeless craftsmanship and aesthetic excellence. Our ongoing collaboration reflects a shared vision of creating spaces that do more than just display products—they tell a story, embodying the legacy of Romanian design while pushing it forward into a new era.
